Green Monster sighted at Faneuil Hall Tree Lighting!

My journey this night took me to the 17th annual lighting of the Christmas Tree at Boston’s Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. But before I made my way over to the merriment at Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market I stopped off to pay my respects at the impressive and somber Holocaust Memorial located on The Freedom Trail. The Holocaust Memorial is six glass towers that have six million numbers engraved on the glass to represent the six million Jew’s who perished in WWII, and serves as a stark reminder as to what can happen to a society that has no tolerance for dissent or freedom of speech.

A visit to Jackson, New Hampshire

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of taking an overnight trip to the beautiful White Mountain Region in New Hampshire. Renowned for its skiing and entertainment options, I can personally attest to the fact that the leaf peeping opportunities in this area are among the best in New England. I left my home in Boston prepared for, honestly, a pretty boring drive up the highway, so was pleasantly surprised that I spent less than half the trip on the Interstate - the majority of my trip to Jackson, New Hampshire was on long country roads. This presented a great chance to not only take in the stunning foliage but also see all the great roadside stores and attractions that make this part of the country so unique.
