Why did you join myguideIreland?
I wanted to work for a tour operator abroad after finishing my degree in tourism and I found myguideIreland on the Internet and this online company seemed very interesting to me. Also I've always loved Ireland so the idea of working in one of my favorite countries made feel very excited.
What is your favourite part of Ireland?
I love the Dingle Peninsula. On a sunny day the light is incredible and the green is so green!I love Inch Beach in the Dingle Peninsula.
What is your favourite visitor attraction?
I love the Aran Islands with their fantastic scenery and their stone walls, especially Inishmore with the prehistoric Dún Aengus.
What is your favourite Irish food restaurant in Ireland?
With no doubt "Out of the Blue" in Dingle town. The fish is perfectly cooked and your plate will be full of vegetables and different colors. The restaurant is very simple but very cosy and it's only open when they have fresh fish.
Which is your favourite pub in Ireland?
There are plenty of nice pubs in Ireland but maybe my favourite pub is De Barras in Clonakilty, Co. Cork. It's a great pub for live music of all types.
Where do you like to shop?
In Dublin or in Cork.
Favourite getaway in Ireland?
Abbeyglen Castle in Clifden. The location is great in Connemara and the rooms and the restaurant are very nice and warm. In the evening the owner sings and plays the piano in the pub in the castle and everybody joins in the singing. An unforgettable experience!Another great place is Waterford Castle. The rooms are very elegant with antique furniture. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is very nice.
Given your experience what advice would you give to people coming to Ireland?
To buy a one way ticket!
