Situated on leafy Commercial Ave, the Eliot Hotel is superbly placed for exploring Boston and shopping in the exclusive boutiques around Newbury St, Boyleston St and the Back Bay. This award winning four-diamond hotel is highly regarded by travellers for its luxury and high standard of service, while the excellent Clio Restaurant is very well renowned within Boston culinary circles.

The Eliot Hotel offers refinement in every detail, with its exquisitely decorated guestrooms with signature robes, Egyptian cotton linens and marble bathrooms, equipped with wireless Internet access and all the facilities one would expect from a first class hotel.

The Clio Restaurant at the hotel is consistently listed among Boston’s best restaurants and has won numerous awards, while Uni its sashimi bar is making a similar impression on Boston’s cultured diners.

The hotel concierge boasts the ability to make arrangements for any of Boston's many cultural treasures, from tickets to the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Ballet, or the Museum of Fine Arts to dinner reservations, Red Sox tickets or tours of Boston's Freedom Trail .

The property dates back to 1925, when it was built for Charles Eliot, one of Harvard University's most eminent presidents. During the 19th century wealthy Bostonians flocked to the Back Bay, to townhouses built in the fashionable French Empire style and the area became the centre for much of Boston’s cultural life. A number of these homes along Commercial Ave became hotels, but with the exception of The Eliot Hotel, these opulent hotels have all but vanished. The Eliot Hotel was purchased by Nathan Ullian in 1939 and continues to be independently owned and operated by the Ullian family.
